I have been to many Republican fundraisers, meetings, etc. over the last few months, and, more often than not, there were no voter registration forms or absentee ballot applications at the function, until or unless I brought some in from my car. It is imperative that we make it as easy as possible for every Republican and Republican leaning individual to be registered and to vote, either in person or by mail, via an absentee ballot. You should make it a practice to have voter registration forms and absentee ballot applications available at every function - including regular GOP club and committee meetings - and publicly remind people that they are available.
Although your local municipal clerks may have a few of these forms available for you - the quantities and cooperation will vary. You are better off to get whatever you need from the Board of Elections Office at 777 Jersey Avenue, New Brunswick, (for voter registration forms) and from the Middlesex County Clerk's Office at the County Administration Building at 1 Kennedy Square, New Brunswick (for absentee ballot applications.) (If you see me, feel free to ask me for voter registration forms, since I am presently carrying a case of them around in my car. I have some absentee ballot applications as well, but not enough to give them out in bulk.)
Every year, we win or lose at least a few elections by less than the number of absentee ballots cast - and often by just a handful of votes (less than 100 and sometimes as few as 1 or 2.) Lets be sure we are on the winning side of these elections, by maximizing our voter registrations and absentee ballot voters by working on this at every opportunity - and making it as easy as possible for other Republicans to do the same!!!!
